StagePresence does not detect my Kinect camera or cannot initialize Kinect. Why?

First ensure that your Kinect camera is connected to the USB port and powered up.

The StagePresence installer includes and installs its own set of OpenNI-based Kinect drivers. It is self-contained. If you have other versions of OpenNI or Kinect drivers (including the Kinect SDK) on your system, they may conflict with the drivers installed by StagePresence.

The best course of action is to uninstall any Kinect drivers or versions of OpenNI you already have on your system and install StagePresence on a clean system. That should enable you to use the application.
